About the Job
Responsible for designing, developing and maintaining scalable data solutions, ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud-based data platforms using AWS data services.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and cloud-native data solutions.
- Write and optimise complex SQL queries and database operations.
- Build data models and implement ETL/ELT processes.
- Work with AWS data services to support data integration, transformation and analytics.
- Implement data quality, security and governance standards.
- Support CI/CD, production operations and Agile delivery.
Experience & Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in database and data engineering.
- Strong SQL, data modelling and database performance tuning skills.
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL, AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift and AWS Quick.
- Proficiency in Python and/or PySpark.
- Experience building and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, DevOps and Agile practices.
- Understanding of data governance, security and operational support.
Additional Preferred Attributes
- Experience with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) and Schema Conversion Tool is desirable.
